This is Jason's 3nd season as the Club Director of Golden West Volleyball Club and 4th year as a coach at the club. Jason has 9 years of coaching experience in College, High School as well as Club volleyball. He spent one year as an assistant coach at the University of California Riverside and currently is an assistant at Fullerton College. The rest of his experience consists of High School and Club coaching at Esperanza and Mater Dei as well as Santa Monica Beach, The LBC, and Golden West Volleyball Clubs. Jason has been a part of teams that have won 3 CIF Championships, 1 State Final and also a bronze medal with The LBC Volleyball Club in 2001.

Craig is one of the original founders of Golden West Volleyball Club and began his coaching career with Huntington Beach High School in 1991, where he served as an assistant until 1996. From '97-98, Pazanti took a position as an assistant coach at Baylor University. Pazanti returned to So Cal and served as the head coach at Mater Dei High School from 1999-2003. In that time Pazanti was named the 2003 California State High School Coach of the Year. He was also selected the 2002 CIF Coach of the Year, and Orange County Coach of the Year in 1999 by The Orange County Register while winning 3 consecutive CIF Championships from 2000-2003. Since 2004 Craig served as an assistant and head coach at Golden West College, and is currently a teacher at Huntington Beach High School.

Kevin starts his 7th year here at Golden West VBC and recently took over the girls volleyball program at Canyon High School. Before taking that position, Kevin served as an assistant coach at Long Beach State University from 2004 until 2006. Prior to that Kevin was the head girl's volleyball coach at Mayfair High School ('98-'04) where he coached 7 consecutive Suburban League titles with a league record of 80-0 over the 7 years. During that span at Mayfair, Kevin's players were named Suburban League MVP 6 times and had 30 All Suburban-League players. Kevin's past includes a 7 year run at Ichiban Volleyball Club, which featured players such as Misty May, Katie Olsolvsky, Heather Bown, Heidi Illustre, Jessica Sudduth, Jennifer Fopma, and Robin Lewis. Kevin claimed his own Bronze medal with Ichiban in the 18's Division at Jr. Nationals in 2000. Additionally, Kevin's collegiate experience includes assistant coaching stints at Dominquez Hills '99-'00, Rice University '94, and Northern Michigan Univ. '91-'93 where the Wildcats won the NCAA Div II National Championship in '93. During his time as a collegiate assistant coach Kevin has coached 3 NCAA Division II - Players of the Year and 12 NCAA All-Americans. Kevin has also served as head tryout coach for the Olympic Festival and an evaluator for the Junior and Youth National Teams for three seasons. In 1998 Kevin was inducted into the Northern Michigan University Athletics Hall of Fame.

In 7 years of high school and club coaching experience at Los Alamitos High School, LBC volleyball club and Golden West Volleyball Club, Jimmy has won a 3 CIF titles (with 4 CIF finals appearances), as well as 2 State Titles. This year he took over the Girl's Volleyball Program at Mater Dei High School (his Alma mater). He also has a Bronze Medal from the 2003 Boys Junior Olympics and a Silver Medal from the 2005 Girls Junior Olympics. Jimmy was named Orange County Register and LB Press Telegram Coach of the Year in 2004 and 2005, and LA Times Coach of the Year in 2005.

Erika Chidester is in her first season as a graduate assistant volleyball coach at the University of La Verne. Currently earning her Master's degree in Business Administration. Chidester was a three-year team captain and First Team All-Big West performer as a middle blocker and outside hitter for the 49ers. In addition she earned AVCA All-West Region honors in the 2003-2005 seasons. Chidester will begin her sixth year coaching club volleyball, four prior years at Cal Juniors Volleyball Club, second year at Golden West

A 2004 graduate of Armstrong Atlantic University, Kinsey is in her 4th season with the Golden West Volleyball Club and 8th season of coaching club. Kinsey was instrumental in Golden West College winning two state championships. The team went undefeated in her Community College career and was named to the All Tournament Team in 2000. Kinsey spent 3 years as the assistant women's volleyball coach at Santa Ana College and recently received her master's in education. She is now a teacher and volleyball coach at Mater Dei High School.

Jaclyn Chavez is Esperanza's girl's JV coach and Varsity Assistant and has been since she graduated from EHS in 2002. This will be her 4th season as coaching at Golden West Volleyball Club. She is currently attending Cal State Long Beach majoring in mathematics education where she hopes to graduate in 2007 and begin working on her masters.

Dave is in his third season coaching at Golden West Volleyball Club and was Jimmy Munoz's right hand man for three years at Los Alamitos High School before taking over the program this season. He is a former Div. 1 college player at Long Beach State University where he was an outside hitter and we are pleased to have his coaching experience back on staff.

Ivan is in his 2nd season at Golden West Volleyball Club after returning from France two years ago where he where he coached girl's volleyball and played in the men's league. While in France he was the outside hitter for the men's team that took second place and coached the cadettes team that finished 1st in the Basse Normandie League. After graduating from UCI, Ivan was recruited to coach girl's volleyball at El Modena High School, and later at Saint Joseph's High School. He assisted Kevin Wray with Varsity and JV and was the Head Coach of the Frosh team accumulating a record of 13-1 and a league championship.

As an outside hitter Brett competed for The LBC Volleyball Club as well as Valley Christian High School where he started for three years. During that time Brett was MVP of the Olympic League, 1st team All-CIF, and 1st team Press Telegram Dream Team 2005 as well as winning a 18s silver medal at the Junior Olympics in 2005. Brett is currently an economics major at UC Irvine where last year he was a red-shirt freshman on the #3 nationally ranked men's collegiate team. The past three seasons Brett has served as the head girls volleyball coach at Lakewood First Baptist junior high, and two seasons at Valley Christian High School Girl's Frosh/Soph & JV team while assisting with the varsity team in the past three seasons.

This is Sarah's fourth season coaching club volleyball and her second with the Golden West Volleyball Club. Sarah has previously coached in Savannah, Georgia and then in Maryland for Southern Maryland Juniors. Sarah played collegiate volleyball for four years at Armstrong Atlantic State University where she currently holds the career record for most kills and games played in school history. She moved to the Southern California area two years ago and is excited to be a part of GWVBC and impart her knowledge to Southern California players.

This will be Katie's second year coaching at Golden West Volleyball Club, after previously coaching at Tsunami Volleyball Club in Atlanta, Georgia and before that at Laguna Beach VBC. For the past two seasons Katie had been the JV coach at Santa Margarita High School, and recently took a teaching job at J. Serra High School where she teaches cultural geography and is the Girl's Volleyball Varsity Assistant. She graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, where she played for four years. Katie is an alumni of Golden West Volleyball Club and we are happy to have her back.

Melissa is entering her third season coaching at Golden West Volleyball Club. Melissa is a local product who competed at St Joseph's High School in Lakewood. She adds great experience to the staff from an accomplished player's perspective. Melissa competed at the highest level throughout her career, winning the Junior Olympics in the 16 open-division in 1999 and being named the tournaments Most Valuable Player while playing for Craig Pazanti. She continued that tradition by winning a bronze medal in the 18 open-division the following year.

Kyle joins us here at Goldenwest just having recently moved to California from Philadelphia. Kyle was a stand-out player on his varsity volleyball high school team in Madison, CT, making the All SCC (Southern Connecticut Conference) and All-State teams. Wilson also played club volleyball in college at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Kyle looks forward to his first season here at GW.

Currently plays at Cal State Fullerton in her first year as a right side hitter (All Tournament at Boise State and Fullerton Classic). Played at Golden west Volleyball Club for four years under coaches Kevin Hitt, Jason Dillard, Jimmy Munoz, and Craig Pazanti (17's year took 2nd at JO's and 18's year took second at Reno Festival, competed at JO's every year except for 18's). Played volleyball at Edison High school. Sarah describes herslef as being very competitive and loves coaching (assistant coach at Greenbrook Swim Club, 5th year). Her goals this club season: To help assist a team in competing at Junior Olympics and make every individual stronger mentally and physically while enjoying their time playing at Golden West.
